THE ALBANY EMPIRE WEEKLY RADIO SHOW TO RETURN
ALBANY, NY – The Albany Empire announce that ‘The State of The Empire’ weekly radio show will return to the Recovery Sports Grill East Greenbush location for the 2019 season. The show will be taped on Thursday evenings from 7-8pm beginning at the start of training camp and continue throughout the duration of the season.
Fans can then listen to the taped and edited version of the show every Saturday morning from 11-11:30am on 104.5 The Team, ESPN radio all season long. The show will once again be hosted by AJ Kanell, the Voice of the Albany Empire, who will frequently be joined by Empire Head Coach, Rob Keefe, Empire players, and special guests.
“As we prepare for the 2019 season, we are pleased to announce the return of this partnership with Townsquare Media and the Recovery Sports Grill,” said George Manias, Albany Empire Chief Operating Officer. “Through this partnership, the Empire is able to reach our fans both live and in person at the Recovery Sports Grill on Thursday nights and over the airwaves on 104.5 The Team on Saturdays, prior to gamedays. We encourage fans to come out to the Recovery Sports Grill in East Greenbush on Thursday nights and meet our players, coaches and dance team members.”
The taping of the show each Thursday will be open to the public and feature Albany Empire ticket and merchandise giveaways, meet and greets with players, team mascots Mac and Jack, and members of the Albany Empresses dance team, and food and beverage specials from the Recovery Sports Grill.
‘The State of The Empire’ will breakdown the previous Empire game from the weekend, look ahead to the next matchup, provide in-depth interviews with the guests, and discuss up to date team and League news. Aside from hosting the weekly radio show, Kanell will also return as the radio play-by-play announcer for all Albany Empire games throughout the 2019 season.
