ArenaBowl XXXI to be awarded to participating team with highest home attendance average

LAS VEGAS - The regular season is coming to an end and the battle for the top seed will come down to the final weekend. The Albany Empire, Baltimore Brigade, and Philadelphia Soul all enter Week 13 with a 7-4 record. The Washington Valor are locked in at the 4 seed. The following are the scenarios for each team:

  1. Albany Empire have the most straight-forward path to the top seed
    1. Beat Philadelphia
      1. Seeding:
        1. Albany
        2. Baltimore
        3. Philadelphia
        4. Washington

*Albany holds the tiebreaker over Baltimore with a +9 point differential in head-to-head games; therefore even if Baltimore wins or loses against Washington they will be the second seed in this scenario

  1. Baltimore Brigade
    1. Beat Washington AND
    2. Philadelphia beats Albany
      1. Seeding:
        1. Baltimore
        2. Philadelphia
        3. Albany
        4. Washington

*Baltimore holds the tiebreaker over Philadelphia with a +23 point differential in head-to-head games

  1. Philadelphia Soul
    1. Beat Albany AND
    2. Washington beats Baltimore
      1. Seeding:
        1. Philadelphia
        2. Albany
        3. Baltimore
        4. Washington

ArenaBowl XXXI will be awarded to the participating team with the highest regular season average home attendance.

“The fans are what make the AFL great,” Commissioner Randy Boe said. “We are excited to award the opportunity to host ArenaBowl XXXI to the fans that have supported their team the most all season.”

The postseason schedule is as follows:
Home and Home Series (Game 1) - Weekend of July 14
Home and Home Series (Game 2) - Weekend of July 21

*If the teams split Games 1 and 2 and the aggregate score is tied following regulation of the second game, the game will move to a standard overtime period to determine which team will advance.
ArenaBowl XXXI - Weekend of July 28

*Exact date, times, and locations will be announced after the conclusion of Week 13
