ALBANY EMPIRE ANNOUNCE SUMMER KICKOFF PICNIC
Empire Release Summer Deals During Four-Game Home Stretch
The Albany Empire announce they will make summer as easy as 1,2,3 with The Empire Summer Kickoff Picnic! Prior to the May 26 game against the Washington Valor, The Empire Summer Picnic will be held in the new Times Union Center atrium from 3-5 pm.
The Empire Picnic will feature $1 Hotdogs, $2 popcorn, $3 sodas, $5 Bud Light drafts and a DJ playing summertime favorite hits. All fans in attendance of the Memorial Day Weekend picnic and the May 26th game versus the Valor will also receive a set of Thunderstix, presented by Fogg’s Automotive.
“What better way to kickoff Memorial Day Weekend than with a picnic and some football!” said George Manias, Vice President of Business Operations for the Albany Empire. “The pregame support from Empire fans has been surreal during our first two home games, so we decided to extend the Block Party by using our new Atrium at the Times Union Center and throw yet another party! We understand our fans may be weighing their options for holiday weekend plans, so we wanted to pull out all the stops and give every opportunity for fans to celebrate Memorial Day weekend with us!”
The Empire also announce a summer kickoff ticket package. The package gives fans the option to choose from three out of the four consecutive home dates for one discounted price. Tickets for the package are limited to the orange, green and gray sections of the arena. All fans who take advantage of the summer kickoff ticket package will receive an Empire water bottle and an Empire drawstring bag. Information on the summer kickoff ticket package can be found on TheAlbanyEmpire.com/summer
“Our fans are a pivotal part of our success on the field,” said Rob Keefe, Head Coach of the Albany Empire. “We rely on our fans to be loud and give us a true homefield advantage. As the weather heats up outside, so will our play on the field. Four home games in a row is a huge advantage for us and we look forward to seeing our fans pack the Times Union Center all summer long!”
This week, the Empire are on the road playing against the Washington Valor at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. on May 11 at 7 pm. Fans can watch all the action live on Facebook.com/AFLWatch or hear the game on Alt 105.7 fm.
